Testimony 1 - October, 1997

I had based my whole life on this T-shirt which read "Basketball is Life and the rest is details” I had finally reached the pinnacle of my career. All the sacrifices, hard work, and persistence had finally paid off.  I Sue Stewart was going to the 1996 Olympic Games.  We were representing Canada, competing against the world’s best chasing after a medal.  This was it I've climbed the ladder of success only to find out it was leaning against the wrong wall.

I am special In all the world there is nobody like me. Since the beginning of time there has never been another person like me. Nobody has my smile. Nobody has my eyes My nose, My hair, My voice, I’m special. No one can be found who has my handwriting. Nobody anywhere has my taste for food or music or art. No one sees things just as I do. In all of time there has been no one who laughs like, no one who cries like me. And what makes me laugh and cry will never provoke identical laughter and tears from anybody else, ever. No one reacts to any situation just as I would react. I’m special...
